Sleep has eluded me this very long night. But I just called Penelope's nurse, and that baby's been resting well. Results from her respiratory test showed rhinovirus and parainfluenza 1 (which is what causes croup, and our Lucy Bear has had croup the past several days). So, she really has a bad cold. Which is funny because, as her nurse and I both noted, she has shown no cold symptoms. But I'm glad to know what's going on, and hoping since they found the problem that she can come home today. Next order of business: go over and be there when she wakes up. And then clean and sanitize this house!
