I brought Penelope back to the hospital today for a follow-up. Her urine and blood came back normal, but her white count was higher than yesterday and her fever won't let up. So they admitted her. They did a respiratory test, swabbed her nose, and she's kinda under quarantine until they rule that out. Not really quarantine, but they put a special warning sign on her door and the staff doesn't come in here without masks on. They're going to watch the cultures of all her samples, probably do more blood tests tomorrow, and just watch her. The nurse just told me we're here at least till Tuesday. Reminds me of last November with this girly. I hate that she's going through this. And I hate leaving her, but I also hate being away from the rest of the family. It's really just a miserable situation. Poor Penelope.
